Your Information, Explained

A privacy notice for AgentChamp readers - 25 August 2026

Hello. This page tells you what AgentChamp knows about you, why we know it, and what you can do about it.

It is written for you, not for grown-ups. If a bit of it is confusing, ask your teacher or the grown-up who looks after you - and if they cannot answer, they can ask us.

What we know about you

Not very much, on purpose. Here is the whole list.

Things a grown-up told us

• Your first name and last name
• What year you are in at school
• Your class and your school, if you use AgentChamp at school

Things we made for you

• Your username, and your login code and PIN
• Your agent name, like "Emily Shakespeare" - you picked it from our list

Things you do here

• Which stories you have opened and finished
• How many pages you read, and how long you spent reading
• The choices you made in adventure stories
• Your quiz answers and scores
• Words you tapped to find out what they mean
• Your points, your streak, your badges, and how you dressed your avatar

That is it. That is everything.

What we do NOT know about you

We think this list matters just as much.

• We do not know your birthday. We never asked.
• We do not know where you live, or your phone number, or your email address.
• We have no photos of you. AgentChamp never turns on a camera or a microphone. It cannot.
• We do not know where you are. Not your town, not your street, nothing.
• We cannot see or hear you. Ever.

Why we know these things

Three reasons, and no others.

1. To show you the right books. If we know what you have read and how it went, we can suggest a story that is the right kind of tricky - not so easy it is boring, not so hard it is horrible. 2. To keep your score. Your points, your badges and your streak have to be written down somewhere, or they would vanish every time you closed the app. 3. So your teacher or your grown-up can see how you are getting on. That is the whole point of reading practice - someone helping you notice you are getting better.

Who can see it

• You can.
• Your teacher can, if you use AgentChamp at school. That is their job.
• Your grown-up at home can, if your school has given them a code to link up, or if they signed you up themselves.
• Nobody else.

Other children cannot see anything about you. There is no chat on AgentChamp. You cannot message anyone and nobody can message you. If your name ever appears somewhere other readers can see - like a reading challenge - it is your agent name, never your real one.

We never sell what we know about you. We never let anyone advertise to you. We would not do that, and we are not allowed to.

How we keep it safe

• Your password is scrambled up so that even we cannot read it.
• Everything you send us travels in a secret code, so nobody can peek at it on the way.
• Your login code and PIN are locked away. Your teacher can look them up if you forget - that is allowed, so you never get stuck - and every single time someone looks, the computer writes down who it was.
• We check who is allowed to see what, every time, on every page.

Reading out loud, and where stories come from

When a story reads itself to you, a computer somewhere turns the words into a voice. It only ever gets the words of the story. It is never told who is reading, and the sound is made once and shared with everyone - so nobody outside AgentChamp ever finds out that *you* were reading *that* book.

Some AgentChamp stories and pictures were made with the help of AI. A grown-up chooses what kind of story it should be, the AI writes a first version, and people check it before it ever reaches you.

Nothing about you is ever sent to an AI, and nothing about you is ever used to teach one. Not your name, not your reading, not your quiz answers. Not ever.

What you can ask for

These are your rights. They are real, and they are the law.

• You can ask to see everything we know about you. Ask your teacher or your grown-up - they can get a copy of the lot.
• You can ask us to fix something that is wrong. If your name is spelled wrong, say so, and it gets fixed.
• You can ask us to delete it all. A grown-up has to ask for you, but the answer is yes, and it really is deleted.
• You can ask why. If you want to know why we keep something, that is a completely fair question and you deserve a proper answer.

How long we keep it

Not forever.

If you stop using AgentChamp, or you leave your school, we keep your reading for about a year in case you come back - and then the computer deletes it automatically. Nobody has to remember to do it.

If someone asks us to delete your information, we do it straight away, and after 90 days it is gone for good. The 90 days are in case it was deleted by mistake and someone needs it back.

If something is wrong

If anything on AgentChamp worries you, upsets you, or just seems odd - tell a grown-up you trust. Your teacher, or whoever looks after you at home. That is always the right thing to do, and it is never a bother.
